This is my favorite picture of Isaiah because it is on the car drive home after his adoption. He is holding the blanket that his Voices for Children advocate (like a CASA worker) gave him. He really didn't know that anything significant had happened that day, but the rest of us sure did.
I have so many favorites of Micah and Elise through the years. If you have been to my house, you have seen that my husband has been sweet enough to make several photo collages of my favorites so that I can smile and remember them often. It's actually hard to remember Micah and Elise being so little any more.
I have lots of fun pictures of Elise, but this one makes me laugh the most. Elise was around a year and a half here and right in the middle of her "Danger Baby" days. She was a climber, trickster, busy little bee. From the time she could walk, until about age 3, I was exhausted trying to keep her out of trouble. This picture has always cracked me up because it represents that time so well and because she looks startled and innocent in this picture.
I had quite a few great pictures of my almost 12 year old boy to choose from, but I really love this one of Micah enjoying one of his first Cardinals' games with his daddy. He was probably already trying to figure out their stats at this game.
Hope you enjoyed seeing some of my favorite pictures. This inspires me to post more older pictures on here to have them as a record of all of our fun years. I wish I was doing a blog when Micah and Elise were little because there were so many funny stories that I would like to have kept a better record of through the years.
Hi, Julie! It is nice to meet you, this way. Your children are beautiful! I think I need to print out "Caution Children" because that sign and the look on her face literally made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see another "Isaiah"! He and your other children are beautiful. So glad I had a chance to "meet" you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat to get to turn around in the car and see that sweet face in the back seat! The "Caution Children" pic made me giggle!! The daddy/son pic at the ballpark is a framer!

Great photos! I love the first and second ones. He looks very excited in the first picture, and I love the look on her face while under the caution sign. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteElise reminds me of Will in this one. The climbing has just started and I can already empathize with the exhaustion.
