Commas

We are providing respite care for an 8 year old boy this weekend. Friends of ours are fostering him and they are out of town for the weekend. He is getting along great with Micah and Elise, but he isn't 100% sure what to make of Isaiah. Today, out of the blue, he said,"I think he's going to learn how to read when he is about 10 years old. Then when he is 20 years old, he will know everything except one thing." We asked him what is the one thing Isaiah wouldn't know at age 20. He said, "He won't know what a comma is for." Too funny! That would be great if that is the one thing Isaiah doesn't know at age 20. That would be great if that was the one thing any of us didn't know at age 20, but most of us have a lot more to learn than comma placement, even at the ripe old age of 20.
